About me

Hi, I am Maxwell Buchanan (Max Bucky), a triathlete and cyclist from Cambridge.
I've been racing since I was 12 and have won European and National Championships. I love tinkering with my bikes and pushing the norms of cycling looking for the next gain that can help me on the way to my next PB. I've also been a bike mechanic for over 3 years, advising and working on many top athlete's bikes
In the off season I'm partial to a bit of gravel and cyclocross, if you haven't given them a go yet you should! They have been some of the best cycling events I have done and are a great way to improve your technical ability on the bike and don't have to cost a fortune.
Outside of being an athlete, I'm a keen content creator and do a bit of product design. I work with EzGains to help develop their brand and create new products. In doing this I have developed my knowledge of aerodynamics through wind tunnel testing and looking at CFD testing along with seeing trends in bike design and trends pro wheel and component choices.
I studied Physical Education, Product Design, Digital Media and Maths at college giving me a key understanding of the way our bodies function and how our equipment should be tailored to the user rather than the other way around.
